Originating from rural South East Essex, The Mays are currently a four piece band and were formed by members of The May family over 30 years ago. The current line-up includes two brothers from the original band - Julian May and David May. Steve Houghton, their brother-in-law, has now been playing with the band for just over a year and a half. Michael May, the family's eldest brother and original drummer often re-joins the band to perform.
The Mays perform a diverse range of great music from the genres of Rock ‘n’ Roll and Pop, including great artists such as The Beatles, Status Quo, Elvis Presley and Cliff Richard. In addition they also play songs from their own original albums.
The Band have experience of performing at a range of events and venues, from appearing ‘in concert’ to outdoor festivals, pubs, clubs and private parties - to large crowds and to more intimate audiences.
Performed songs are carefully considered and pre-selected for each booking, taking into consideration all factors and indeed any specific requests communicated at previous performances or at the time of booking.
The Mays adaptability, assorted set list and obvious passion for their music cannot fail in making your event an extraordinary one.
